The Judge said that the jury had acquitted the prisoner on the graver charge of attempted murder, but the use Of firearms in a quarrel was always a grave offence. . .. .. Giving full effect to the jury rider that the prisoner had ar'etl under extreme provocation, amt to hin coocl character. the least sentence imposabie was a snort term in prison.
