Red Cross Raises £20,000,000. — Twenty million pounds have now been raised by the Red Cross and the ,St. John Ambulance fund since the outbreak of the war. Of this £250.000 in penny subscriptions came from Britain and the Empire. The Duke of Gloucester in a speech said that never before in Britain had such a fund been provided by voluntary contributions.— London, May 13.
