RECENT REFERENCE TO INJUSTICES PRESBYTERY’S RESOLUTION Following on the allegations that a certain section oi the community was taking advantage of the ignorance of individuals to force people to vacate their houses, mads by the Moderator (the Rev. T. W. Armour) at a meeting of the Christchurch Presbytery last month, a resolution was passed at the meeting of the Presbytery held yesterday morning as follows: — “The Presbytery commends its Moderator, the Rev. T. W. Armour, for his statement rfgarding the injustices associated with property speculations. T t expresses its opinion that the publicity given to the matter has sufficiently served the Presbytery’s purpose, and resolves that any necessary action in the future be referred to the pubffc questions committee.” After the meeting an informal luncheon was held at the Farmers’ to welcome Ihe Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, the Rt. Rev. John G. Laughton.
