BANKS PENINSULA BRANCH Officers- elected at the thirteenth annual meeting of the Banks Peninsula branch of the Farmers’ Union were: President, Mr D. N. Waghorn; vice-presidents, Messrs R. Bruce, C. J. Marshall, C. D Kay. and W. H. Moore: secretary and treasurer, Mr W. Jacobson; assistant secretary, Mr R. Bruce; auditor, Mr L. J. Vangioni; delegates to provincial executive and annual conference, president. Mr C. D. Kay and Mr R. Bruce. The annual report and balance-sheet, showing a credit of £25 15s 3d. were adopted, A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring president, Mr 0. J. Marshall, for his work in the farming interests in the district for the last two years as president, and as the branch representative on the District Transport Control. Members of the .Rangiora Returned Services’ Association, at their annual . meeting, decided to ask Mrs H. K. Kippenberger to extend to her husband, Brigadier Kippenberger, D.S.O. and Bar, the association’s congratulations on his work with the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Brigadier Kippenberger was himself an active member of the association before going overseas.
