MAIL 0* V m i fnns w m nm —Only I /100 th their Normal Weight! A remarkable new development in the carriage of mails has been evolved through the urgency of war. In British countries It is called “AIRGRAPH” Mail-In the United States “V Mail”. The idea was created by Kodak to speed communications between the fighting fronts and the home fronts in every part of the globe. It is based on the amazing resources of the modern photographic industry. Letters to and from Service Men and Women, written on regular size sheets of paper, are photographed on Kodak Microfilm—reducing each letter to a quarter of an inch square—then swiftly flown to or from New Zealand. (85,000 letters normally weighing 2,000 lbs. are reduced to only 20 lbs. when microfilmed.) At the receiving end, letters are enlarged by photography to readable size, folded, sealed in envelopes and forwarded. Being exact photographic copies, they are Identical with the originals.
