Danish Association Meets.—The Free Danish Movement was not confined to New Zealand, but was part of a world, wide organisation, said the president (Mr H. P. Knutzen) at the first annual meeting of the New Zealand Danish Association, held recently in Auckland. The Vice-Consul for Denmark (Mr C. G. Mclndoe) was the guest of honour and was elected patron of the association. Referring to the recent election in Denmark, he said the Danes had gained the respect and admiration of the entire world. He would hope to see thousands of Danes coming out under a new immigration policy. The following officers were appointed; —Dominion president, Mr C. Langkilde; vice-presidents, Sir Hugh Johansen, Mr Niels Nielsen; secretary, Mrs N. Christie.
