GOLF
NO SUNDAY PLAY ON HAGLEY PARK There will be no Sunday play on the Hagley golf course. This decision was made at a special general meeting, and the voting was 35 in favour and 40 against. The president. Mr J. Wyn Irwin, explained that as a result of representations by the club’s committee, the Domains Board had agreed to golf being played on the Hagley course on Sundays. The executive, however, had decided to do nothing without the approval of the members at a special general meeting.
