ENEMY CONVOY INTERCEPTED
SUCCESS OF BRITISH TORPEDO ATTACK (Rcc. 11 I).,it I LONDON, April C. The Admiralty announces that in a sweep by light naval craft off the coast of Tunisia an enemy convoy, including three supply ships and a large escorting force of warships, was intercepted. One of the supply ships was torpedoed and v/as seen to sink. Two torpedo hits were scored on another of the supply ships, and although it v as not seen to sink, it was probably destroyed. When the British force left the scene the enemy convoy escorts, in their confusion, were firing on each other. The British force suffered neither casualties nor damage.
