OFFICIAL FORECASTS (P.S.S.) WELLINGTON, April 4. The weather forecast for Canterbury, issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of Issue, is as follows: Northerly to north-easterly winds, freshening on the coast. Weather fair, temperatures moderate. Further outlook fair. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island Is as follows: Moderate south-westerly to westerly winds. Weather cool and rather changeable, with occasional passing showers. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine and mild. Saturday was fine after an overcast morning, but there was a gold breeze. At 1 o’clock this morning a light Mrlzzle was falling and there was a light wind from the south.
