Difficulty is being experienced by the National Patriotic Fund Board in meeting requests for razors for patients on hospital ships and for men in the rest camps and hospitals in the Pacific area. Razors, which will take the three-hole type of blade, are required. As electric power is not available to the New Zealand forces on a number of the Pacific Islands they are garrisoning, there is a demand for kerosene lamps, also spare mantles and generators for lamps. All irons fitted with a handle and which can be heated by external means—oven defective electric irons—are also wanted for the troops in the Pacific. Another requirement is unused gramophone needles.
