KILLED IN NIGHT CRASH
TWO AIRMEN FROM WANGANUI FLIGHT AT SOUTH ISLAND STATION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 28. Two members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, both residents of Wanganui, lost their lives during a night flying test at a South Island air station on Wednesday, when their aircraft crashed. They were:— Sergeant Louis John Norfolk Gumbley. Father, Mr C. N. Gumbley, 64 Bignell street, Wanganui. Acting-Corporal Eric Courtney Bell. Mother, Mrs J. C. Bell, Springvale road, Wanganui.
