ENEMY POUNDED IN WESTERN DESERT.—Here are some of the 100 tons of bombs dropped every night for weeks by Allied air forces on the enemy in the Western Desert. They are being taken on trolleys to the Wellington bombers, which have played a great part in the persistent and powerful assaults from the air on Axis positions.
