The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with' the 24 hours following the time of Issue, is as follows; Moderate southerly winds turning north-easterly. Weather fair, apart from scattered coastal fog or drizzle. Temperatures mild. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is as follows: Moderate north-easterly winds predominating, some scattered rain in the ranges, but weather mainly fair. Temperatures mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine and sunny with an easterly wind. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky wag overcast and there was a light easterly wind. The barometer at 30.20 in (1022.7 millibars) was steady..
