NEW DIRECTOR OF AGRICULTURE
APPOINTMENT OF MR E. J. FAWCETT
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. January 13. The appointment of Mr E. J. Fawcett, M.A. (Cambridge), to the position of Director-General of Agriculture was announced to-day by the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. J. G. Barclay). Mr Barclay said that Mr Fawcett’s practical experience of farming before the war. his wide range of activities in departmental and Government service, and his academic qualifications had equipped him fully for his new position.
An official farewell was given to the present. Director-General (Mr A. H. Cockayne) to-day.
