VICEREGAL (P.A.) RAINCLIFF. January 13. The Governor-General (Sir Cyril Newall) to-day inspected units of a South Island brigade and a Royal New Zealand Air Force station. Sir Francis Frazer, Wellington, chairman of the War Pensions Appeal Board, is visiting Dunedin for a sitting of the board. Mr W. Parr, assistant town clerk and city accountant, Nelson, is visiting Christchurch. Mr Parr was a member of the Christchurch City Council staff some years ago as assistant city accountant.
Mr J. W. Collins, chairman of the National Council for the Reclamation of Waste Material, is in the South Island on council business. Mr C. H. Cowan and Mr J. P. O’Connor, Auckland members of the Wheat Committee, have arrived in Christchurch to attend a meeting of the committee.
