SCHOOL PRIZES
Following are the principal awards at Christchurch secondary schools and colleges;—
St. Andrew’s College.—The dux of St. Andrew’s College is K. C. Sutton, with M. C. Williams proxime accessit. St. Bede’s College.—The dux of St. Bede’s College is Gordon Graham Clark. Donald Henry Blyth secured honourable mention. *
I'apanui Technical.—J. K. Henderson won the special prize as senior boy student at the Papanui Technical High School, the girls' award going to Bernice Creamer. Christchurch West High School.—J. L. D. Rose won the Chilton Memorial prize for dux boy at the Christchurch West High School, and Joan Clephane was awarded the Parents' Association special prize for dux girl. The Elizabeth McCombs Memorial scholarship was won by Winifred Hills. Christchurch Girls’ High School. — Helen Watson won the prize for dux of the Christchurch Girls' High School. Cathedral Grammar School,—E. R. F. Dodgson and D. R. M. Pinfold were first equal for the dux prize of the Cathedral Grammar School. The dux of the junior school is B. Morrison, with M. Muschamp proxime acccssit, Avousidc Girls’ High School.—The dux of the Avonside Girls’ High School is June Hill. . . _ . Scholarship Awards. —St. Bede s College scholarships have been announced as' follows:—St. Bede’s boarding scholarship: John Meeking, Mission Convent School, Kaikoura. The Bishop Brodie boarding scholarship; Desmond Irvink, St. Patrick's High School, Timaru. Day boy scholarships.—Old Boys’ Association scholarship: Denis Power, Marist Brothers’ School, Christchurch. The Holy Name Societv scholarship (St. Mary’s parish). Paul Ooughton. The Holy Name Society scholarship (Addington parish); Ivan Illlng St. Bede’s College scholarship. Morris O’Loughlin, Convent School, Papanui.
