WESTPORT WOMAN’S BEQUESTS
* MANY ORGANISATIONS BENEFIT (P.A.) WESTPORT. November 26. Under the will of the late Elizabeth Jane Morgan, spinster, of Westport, provision is made for the following charitable and public gifts: £2OO each to the Buller Hospital Board for the Old People’s Home, the O’Conor Home, Westport, the Convent of Mercy, Westport, the St. John’s Anglican Church, Westport, the Phoenix Masonic Lodge for the lodge’s benevolent fund for returned soldier members, the Nelson Children’s Health Camp Association for maintenance of Westport children in the Nelson health camp, the Westport Returned Services’ Association; £3OO to the New Zealand Institute for tin Blind, Auckland; £IOO each to the Wellington Returned Services’ Association building fund, and Wellington City Mission-Hostel; £SOO to the Lord Mayor of London’s Fund for the relief of poor people in London, and a similar amount for the Barnardo 'Homes. Miss Morgan and her brother, the la*e Henry Morgan, former picture theatre proprietors in Westport, presented the memorial chiming clock in Westport’s new town hall.
