* DECISIONS OF BOARD NO. 1 Further appeals against service overseas were heard by the Armed Forces Appeal Board yesterday. Mr E. A; Lee presided, and with him were Mr G. M. Hall and Mr J. Bt Jones. The boardls decisions were as follows:—George A. Mcikle, storekeeper, dismissed; Frank Nankivell, carpenter, dismissed: Douglas Nlcholl, soldier, dismissed; John Clifford Nichols, soldier, dismissed; James Leslie Gray, farm-hand (H. Gray), decision reserved; Andrew Morrison Palmer, warehouseman, adjourned for review in March; Leonard Lawson Paterson, storekeeper, decision reserved: George Campbell Orchard, soldier, dismissed; Louis George Phillips clerk, dismissed; Thomas Patrick Phelan, soldier, dismissed; John William Riddell, soldier (Mrs M. Riddell), dismissed; Abraham Robinson, bootmaker, adjourned for review in January: Horace Rov Rosindale, soldier, dismissed; William R. T. Ross, soldier, dismissed; Robert Rowse, soldier, decision reserved: Noel Harold Ryde, dismissed, service to be limited to New Zealand till January 31; Joseph Maurice Whyte, soldier, dismissed. In appeals against overseas service, adjourned from a previous sitting of the board, the following decisions were given:’—George Adams McMillan, slaugh-terman-cook. dismissed, service to be limited to New Zealand; Stanley Richard Marston, salesman, dismissed; Douglas John Lack, commercial traveller, dismissed; Arthur Elliott, upholsterer, dismissed: Leslie Walter Johnston, soldier, dismissed, reservist not to serve oulsld? New Zealand before June 30, 1943; Leonard Charles Gavin, storeman (Gwendoline Edith Gavin), dismissed; William John Bannon, transport driver, dismissed; service to be limited to New Zealand till February 28.
