BRITISH PRODUCTION OF BOMBERS
(8.0. W.) RUGBY. Nov. 22. The Minister of Aircraft Production (Lieutenant-Colonel J. J. Llewellin) told aircraft workers to-day that during 1942 Britain had trebled her heavy bomber output. Lieutenant-Colonel Llewellin added: “Only the night before last Stirlings which you produced took part with effect in the biggest raid yet made on Italy. These bombers, whether Stirlings, Lancasters, Halifaxes, or Wellingtons, are doing great damage to vital factories and all important railways both in Italy and Germany. We have many reports from Germany telling of the immense damage done and the effect on morale.”
