MOSQUITO BOMBER IN CANADA
♦ PRODUCTION NOW IN PROGRESS (Rec. 9 p.m.) OTTAWA, Nov. 21. Flying at approximately 400 miles an hour, the test pilot (Mr Geoffrey de Havilland) demonstrated the de Havilland Mosquito bomber, which is claimed to be the fastest of its kind in the world. Government officials expressed the opinion that the Mosquito’s powerful engines and its almost allwood construction, combined to give it an unusual degree of manoeuvrability, speed, and deadliness. They said that Canadian Mosquito production was far more important than even the de Havilland plant's British output.
