The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) arrived in Auckland from Wellington by train on Saturday. During the week-end he visited an American naval hospital and inspected defence works and certain defences, He left for Wellington again last night.—(P.A.) The Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. J. G. Barclay) will meet the MidCanterbury Council of Primary Production at Ashburton this afternoon. Mr Barclay will meet the South Canterbury council this morning. The Minister of Health (the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer), and the Minister of National Service (the Hon. A. McLagan) arrived from Wellington on Saturday. Mr M. Moohan. chairman of the Rehabilitation Board, left by air for Wellington on Saturday, after a tour of southern centres.
