FIRST ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED
FRIENDS OP CHURCH PRIMARY SCHOOLS More than 300 children attended a service in the Cathedral yesterday morning as port of the festival marking the first anniversary of the formation of the Fiends of the Church Primary Schocls The service was conducted by Canon S. Parr, and a colourful tableau, arranged by Miss M. Bassett, was presented by school chil--1 dren. St. Michaeis Hall was crowded for ’ a gathedng held in the evening. ; Pupils of St Michael's, St. Matthew’s. and St. Mark’s School contributed an i entertaining piogramme, and an inter- , esting address was given by Mr S. R. 1 Cuming. The following officers were elected: —Chairman, Canon S. Parr; honorary treasurer and secretary. Mrs M. Banks; executive committee, the Revs. J. V, Feron, F N. Taylor, E. C. W. Powell. Mesdames F N Taylor, C. L. Young; committee. Mesdames M. Smith, W. Hammett, Mernn A. Cropp, Brandon, Misses Johnston. Freeguard, and M. Bassett. ____________
