♦ STATEMENTS IN A LETTER (P.S.S.) PALMERSTON N„ Sept. 22. Agreeing with counsel for the defence that the paragraphs challenged by the censor went no further than statements made publicly by the Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Semple, Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., dismissed a charge of breach of the censorship regulations brought against a young man, Trevor Roland Edmunds. The portion of the letter the censor took exception to referred to tyres and aircraft in New Zealand. Edmunds was writing to a pen friend in the United States. __
