PROGRESS NOW 37 MILES FROM CAPITAL (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright.) (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. According to the Madagascar radio the British column advancing from Majunga is 37 miles from the capital, Antananarivo. Another column, from Tamativo, is progressing more slowly, and is 90 miles from the capital. Operations are described in a communique issued by the East African Command, which states: "Our forces are closing in on Antananarivo. Eastward of the capital, the important rad and road junction of Brickaville has been occupied, while from the northwest our troops are advancing to the southward of Ankazobe, which was captured on Saturday. On the north - west coast, in spite of heavy rain and French road demolitions, our southward movement continues. The column moving down the north-east coast entered Sahambava yesterday. 1 ’
