Consumers’ League.—The executive of the /Consumers’ League, Christchurch; at a meeting last evening passed the following resolutions: “That this meeting protests against the recent increases made by the Christchurch City Council in salaries to its already highly-paid officers, as it considers that such action... by the council is not in the interests of the consumers”; and "That a letter be sent from this meeting to the Christchurch City Council asking for a copy of the Christchurch Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations as gazetted and for an explanation of the intentions and the purpose of the council regarding them.” Mr L. Rollings presided.
