PILLAGING
Sir, —I have read with interest the letter of E. K. Banfield and the subjoined statements of the secretary of the Watersiders’ Union and an officer of the Department of Agriculture. I have accepted casual work on the waterfront when outside labour has been called, and as a new chum repudiate Mr Banfield’s statement, which, if it had been sound, would have been discussed by the Growers’ Association immediately—Yours, etc., THOS. FINNERTY. September 16, 1942.
