The Minister of Health (the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer) arrived from Wellington yesterday on his way to Timaru, where he is to confer with the South Canterbury Hospital Board. Mr E. T. Tirikatene, M.P., arrived from Wellington yesterday. Professor C. P. McMeekan. of Canterbury Agricultural College, arrived from Wellington yesterday. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of Mr George Wright, a member of the committee of the Canterbury Territorial Association, who died recently, was carried at a meeting of the association last night.
Mr V. Raines, No. 3 Transport Licensing Authority, returned last evening from the West Coast, where he has be.en holding sittings.
