The Germans managed to cross a strategic river in the Krasnodar area, but all the troops that managed to get *cross were wiped out. PATROLS ACTIVE IN EGYPT LONDON, August 14. The Cairo communique says that night patrols were active and inflicted casualties on enemy patrols and working parties in the northern sector.
