♦ The Minister of Mines (the Hon, P. C. Webb) and the Minister of Transport (the Hon. R. Semple), who returned to Christchurch yesterday after a tour of the West Coast, will leave for Wellington on Tuesday. Mr E. H. Andrews visited Oxford yesterday in his capacity as District E.P.S. Controller. Mr J. N. Webber, son of Mr and Mrs George Webber, Anaru, French Pass, who commenced his naval training as a supply assistant, has been promoted sub-lieutenant in the R.N.Z.N.V.R.
