E.P.S. ORGANISATIONS PRAISED
(P.A.) WAIHI, August 13. “The war work of many local bodies is outstandingly good.” said the Minister of Int&rnal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. Parry) this morning. The Emergency Precautions Scheme issued in 1939, he added, had helped largely to stimu-
late the success of that work. It had provided the organisation with the cooperation of local bodies and the Government services for coping with any national or local disaster. In the recent severe earthquake the Masterton and Wellington E.P.S. organisations had rendered the valuable aid which was the aim of its foundation.
