MINISTERS VISIT KARAMEA
1 (P.A.) WESTPORT. August 12, A tour of the Karamea district was made to-day by the Hon. R. Semple, and the Hon. P. C. Webb. The serious river erosion at Little Wanganui was inspected, and deputations from settlers in the locality were heard. Flood damage at Granite Creek, Arapitq, and Umere and harbour protection works at Karamea were also inspected. The Ministers also heard a deputation concerning the development, of the Charleston coal mining field.
