1 A handicap patriotic tournament was held on Saturday by the Canterbury Basketball Association. The senior competition was won by Otautahi, and the Junior by Lincoln A. Results:— . . Senior Grade.—First round: A.B.C. beat Monarch, Otautahi beat Technical B, Sacred Heart a bye. Second round: A.B.C. a bye, Otautahi beat Sacred Heart. Final; Otautahi beat A.B.C. Junior Grade.—First round: St. Marys 6, Sclwyn 5; Merlvale C 8, Regent B 6; Lincoln A 7, St. Anne’s B 6; Harrods Fashions beat Para. Semi-finals: Merivale C 6, St. Mary’s 5; Lincoln A 9, Harrods Fashions 3. Final: Lincoln A beat Merlvale C.
