BALLOT NOTICES CANCELLED

The cancellation of a number of individual Gazette notices concerning the calling up of men for service with the armed forces was notified in a supplement to the Gazette published - yesterday. The cancellation concerns men drawn in 11 ballots betv/een_October 2, 1940, and April 28. 1942. The reason for the cancellation in most cases is that the reservists were not members of the classes called up in the particular ballot, but in other cases the men were members of the third division (over military age) or were already members of the armed forces at the time of the particular . ballot.
