* m;eekly cost for child £l/4/3 The generous assistance given by the people of the district during the period when the South Canterbury health camp was established at Geraldine was praised by the chairman of the Geraldine Health Camp Committee (Mr F. J, Shearer). , So great was the response to the appeal for eggs and vegetables, he said at,a meeting of the committee, that no eggs had been purchased and only a lew potatoes had to be bought. An estimate of (ho actual cost for a child for a week was given as £1 4s 3d. in a letter received from the central committee at Timaru. All costs for the 12 months were estimated at £1 9s 3d a head.
