DANUBE IN FLOOD
THOUSANDS EVACUATED IN BULGARIA SOFIA, March 14. Twelve thousand people have been evacuated from the flooded Vidin district of Bulgaria. Seven deaths arc reported and efforts are going on to rescue 6000 people who have been stranded for days on roof-tops in freezing weather. Blocks of ice are hindering the rescuers. , An official warning has been issued that the Danube is sf'll rising at Loro, which is already under water.
