OFFICIAL FORECASTS "(P.S.S.) WELLINGTON, March 13. The weather forecast for Canterbury, issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the lime of issue, is as follows:--Fresh south-westerly winds prevailing. Weather cool, changeable and showery. Further outlook improving. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is as follows: — Fresh south-westerly winds. Weaiher changeable with occa- ’ sional showers, but improving. Temperatures cool. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather yesterday was line. In the morning it was overcast with a light east wind, but the sky later cleared and the wind changed to the West. At 1 a.m. this morning the sky was clear and there was a north- | w-est wind. The barometer at 29.7 ‘ inches (1005.8 millibars) was rising again.
