♦ FURTHER “BLACKOUT” TEST A further “black-out” test will be held in Lyttelton on Sunday evening, this time for an indefinite period. Residents are required to l>ave at least one room completely blackedout so that the lights in that room may be used without showing any light outside. The practice of switching all lights off at the main is condemned by the authorities. LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL. 10 PER CENT, PENALTY ON UNPAID RATES, 1941-1942. IN PURSUANCE of the authority conferred by Section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, Ratepayers are notified that the Statutory Penalty of 10 per cent, will be added to all Rates payable to the Lyttelton Borough Council and which remain unpaid at 4 p.m. on Thursday, the 26th February 1942.
