WELCOME CLUB
The Christchurch Welcome Club again entertained large numbers of servicemen in the week-end. About 500 men attended on Saturday afternoon, afternoon tea being provided by the Hororata-Malvern Women’s Auxiliary of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, and supper being provided by a group under Miss Joan Hanna. The building was crowded for the evening dance. Yesterday, afternoon tea, tea, and supper were provided by the Old Girls’ Associations of Cplumba College and St. Hilda College, Punedin. A congest was givbn by a party from the Christchurch Working Men s Club. Sound films were also shown.
