JOCKEY’S APPEAL DISMISSED
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. November 4. . After hearing an appeal by the jockey W. J. Broughton, to-night, against the'three months’ suspension imposed by the Wellington Racing Club’s Judicial Committee, the Wellington District Committee decided that the new evidence produced by Broughton did not in any way discount the evidence ot the other riders concerned, and expressed the opinion that the finding of the judicial committee was correct, and the penalty imposed not excessive The appeal therefore was dismissed. Broughton’s deposit was returned.
