AIR CASUALTY (P.A.) WELLINGTON, November 3. The following air casualty was announced to-night:— Flying Officer Charles Cecil George Webb, R.A.F., previously reported missing, now reported killed in action. Wife, Mrs C. C. G. Webb, Maidstone, England.

DISTINGUISHED FLYING MEDAL tP.A.) WELLINGTON, November 3. Official advice has been received by Air Headquarters, Wellington, that the Distinguished Flying Medal has been awarded to Sergeant Cyril Anthony Frank Marusich, whose next-of-kin is Mr I. Marusich, Awakino. The citation states that as a rear gunner Sergeant Marusich, of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, participated in 40 longdistance raids, including 14 operations over Germany before joining his present unit. "On the night of September 5, Sergeant Marusich participated in an attack on the Derna aerodrome,” it continues- "During the second run over the target he was badly wounded by shellfire, and. although suffering from loss of blood and pain, made light of his injuries, thus permitting his comrades to devote their attention to the work in hand. This airman always displayed great keenness for operations. which, together with his efficiency and strong sense of duty, set an excellent example.” Sergeant Marusich was born at Pukemiro in 1921. and was educated at the Mangatoi School and through the correspondence school of the Education Department.
