GIRLS’ SPORTS AT TIMARU

By far the biggest crowd in years was present at Fraser Park on Saturday afternoon, when the Timaru girls’ inter-house sports were held In fine but overcast weather. The fixture, an annual one, was in every, way a success and a varied programme of events, efficiently conducted, provided the spectators with plenty of entertainment. . Twenty-seven teams, including seven from Christchurch, competed. ‘ A feature of the programme was the maze march display, which presented 200 girls, each in the colourful uniform of her business house or organisation, going through a series of intricate movements.
