ELECTION ISSUE
NO ANNOUNCEMENT YET (P.R.) WELLINGTON. Sept. 30. A further attempt by the Opposition to draw from the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. .P. Fraser) some announcement of the Government’s intention on the General Election question failed in the Ho’ se to-night. When the House was about to adjourn Mr Fraser said that urgency for the second reading of the Social Security Amendment Bill would be taken to-morrow. The session should end next week, he added. “Any date fixed for the election?” asked Mr F. W.
