DEATH FROM SPINAL MENINGITIS

CASE ON WEST COAST A death from cerebro-spinal meningitis was reported from the West Coast during the last week to the Christchurch office of the Health Department. Two cases of tuberculosis and one of scarlet fever were included in the notifications from the same area. Notifications from Canterbury were as follows: —Seven cases of tuberculosis, two of hydatids, two of septic abortion, two of eclampsia, one of scarlet fever, one of diphtheria, and pne» of puerperal fever. One death from tuberculosis was also reported from the West Coast. There was one death from tuberculosis in Canterbury.
