CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING
SCOUTS’ RACE AT CASHMERE Cross-country races were held by Rover Seoul and scout clubs at CAshmere on Saturday afternoon, from the Old Stone House on the Cashmere estate. Detailed results of the scouts’ events were:—D. Ives 1. M. Small 2. G. Pepper 3 I Austin 4. Teams' Race—Linwood, 14 points, 1; Merivale, 18 points, 2; Papanui, 22 points, 3. In the race for the Rover Scout mug the results were:—M. Cardwell 1. J. Pycroft 2, J. Clarkson 3, K. McLachlan 4. PRESBYTERIAN CLUB The Presbyterian Club held a teams’ race on Saturday over a course of three miles. Members were guests of Mr and Mrs C. C. Gordon. Estuary road, South Brighton. The winning team consisted of L. B. Matthews, D. Riley, and M. Lawrence. MARIST CLUB Members of the Marist Club held a one mile race on Saturday from the home of Mr and Mrs Blogg, Malcolm avenue. Results: D. Cartwright 1, K, O’Byrne 2, R. Grey 3, S. Di Somina 4, F. Sharp 5.
