♦ SCHOOL STEEPLECHASE CHRISTCHURCH WEST EVENT The Christchurch West High School held its annual steeplechase in South Haglty Park yesterday. There were very good fields in the three grades—senior, intermediate, and junior. Results were:— Senior (over 16). —W. Dorreen (Chilton House) 1, R. Crimp (Hardie House) 2, H. BillclilT (Chilton House) 3. Time. 12min 42 2-ssec Intermediate (over 15). —B. Dempsey (Chilton House) 1, R. Molyneux (Foster House) 2, D. Turner (Waller House) 3. Time, 13min Bsec. Junior (under 15). E. Marks (Chilton House) J, S. Chisholm (Waller House) 2, Li. G. Irving (Chilton House) 3. Time. 14 min 10 4-ssec. The inter-house competition in the steeplechase resulted;—Chilton House, 286 points, 1; Waller House, 225 points, 2; Foster House, 168 points, 3; Hardie House, 144 points, 1
