AIR CASUALTIES

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, September 26. The following Royal Air Force casualties were announced to-day:— Flying Officer John Grocott, R.A.F., missing on air operations. Brother-in-law, Mr C. H, Sharp, Cheshire, England. Flying Officer Grocott was employed in New Zealand at the outbreak of war, but returned to England to enlist. Sergeant Anthony Henry Ryder Hawkins, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on operations, Guardian, Mrs I. M. Stead, Christchurch. * Pilot Officer Roderick Urquhart McCracken, R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported I missing, now reclassified as missing but believed killed in action. Mother, Mrs H. McCracken, Rangiora. Sergeant Allan Douglas Scott, R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported missing, now reclassified as missing, but believed killed in action. Mother, Mrs A. R. Scott. Hamilton. Sergeant Francis Sydney Haslemore. R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported missing. Death is now officially presumed | by the Air Ministry to have occurred in June. Mother, Mrs E. C.
