The annual match between the BelfastKaiapoi Rod and Gun Club and the Christchurch Gun Club was held at Belfast. The weather was fine and conditions were good. T. Everett, and J. Shallcross shot possibles and divided.

Christchurch Gun Club: P. Ogier 9, F. Brightling 8, E. Gee 6, A. Turner 9, Jack Simpson 7, J. Roud 4, J. Brightling 10. A. J. Campbell G. E. Simpson 9, F. .Rouse 2 total, 70. Belfast won by two points. No. 3, 10 Birds, Five Track.—Jack Simpson and A. J Campbell 10 birds each and J. W. Simpson, P. Ogier, J. Nicholas, T. Everett and T. Tresize shot nine birds. No. 4 Quail Drive, five birds.—J. Brightling. T. Tresize, P. Ogier, R. Roud, four birds each shot off, P. Ogier winning on the second bird.
