WEEK’S LOSSES IN THE AIR
LONDON, August 24,
The comparative air losses of the enemy and the Royal Air Force during the week ended at dawn tp-day reflect the constant and increasingly strong attacks by the Royal Air Force upon enemy military objectives. The figures are:— Over Britain; German losses 5, Royal Air Force 0. Over Germany and Ger-man-occupied territory: German losses 36, Royal Air Force 51 (six pilots and three members of the crews being saved to the Royal Air Force). Middle East; Axis losses 7, Royal Air Force 9 (of which one pilot and one crew and two members of another crew were saved). One enemy bomber was destroyed by naval forces during the same period.
