ACCIDENTS
CHILD HIT BY CAR
Joyce Reeve, aged five, of 98 Byron street, Waltham, suffered internal injuries and shock when she was knocked over by a car outside the Waltham School at 12.20 p.m. yesterday. She was admitted to hospital, and her condition is satisfactory.
AIR FORCE MAN HURT
William A. Stafford-Bush, aged 19. of the Royal New Zealand Air Force station at Wigram, fell between two benches at Wigram yesterday and was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital with an injured leg. He comes from Devonport, Auckland.
TWO CARS, COLLIDE
Alexander Sydney Niven, aged 21, of 50 Packe street, St. Albans, was injured when two motor-cars collided at the corner of St. Asaph and Manchester streets at 11.10 a.m. yesterday. He was admitted to hospital with concussion at 11.45 a.m. It is believed that the car he was in skidded and overturned.
CYCLE AND CAR COLLIDE
Ernest Leslie English, aged 20, of 28 Wychbury street, Spreydon, suffered concussion when his cycle collided with a car at the corner of Durham street and Moorhouse avenue yesterday. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 8.5 a.m., and his condition is satisfactory.
HAND CAUGHT IN SAW
Ruby Ten tori, aged 15 years, of 0 Hawkesbury avenue, caught a hand in a circular saw at her work yesterday afternoon, on the premises of Durax Products, Ltd. She was admitted to hospital at 3 p.m. with, cut tendons. «
