ing, but it was now proposed .that, it should hold its meeting' in January, on the day of the Oamanr United Friendly Society’s picnic., The South Canterbury Jockey Club was considering holding a patriotic meeting, and it had been suggested that this be held on December 20. Details of the assistance the Trotting Club should give at the patriotic meeting were discussed, but it was finally, agreed that in the meantime the club should merely intimate its willingness to assist.
